Landscapes, florals, seashells.

Canadian born, Diane Charmaine Moran is well known for her vibrant picturesque realistic landscapes, seascapes, & jewel toned florals, done in oil & acrylic. Her special talent was recognized at age ten, when she was encouraged to take weekend classes at the Boston Museum of Fine Arts.
Having circumnavigated the world by ships as a teenager, & having lived, (& painted, exhibited & sold) in 8 countries besides the U.S. (New Zealand, Costa Rica, France, Brazil, Spain, Barbados, Mexico, & Canada) & visited more than 40 others; she has acquired a wealth of enriching multicultural experiences & vivid memories of spectacular venues.
Diane minored in art while majoring in French & Spanish. After attending college in New Zealand, she earned a B.A. from Rollins College, Florida & a M.A. in Teaching from Duke University. She was on the faculty of Broward County College, Florida, Michigan State University & Yale University.
Diane has led workshops & is on the board of the McLean Art Society & was a past representative to Fairfax Council of the Arts. Her art was in various juried shows, & her sold works are in numerous international public & private collections. She welcomes commissioned paintings of favorite scenes.
Having lived many years by the ocean, Diane also enjoys creating unique aggregates/mixed media, incorporating seashells & sand.
With the upsurge interest in cruises, coastal living & sea side vacation venues, these are quite popular.
